I don't know why it is - but you can't trust even the finest names in performance to be dead clean right out of the box no more. Even with the top of the range parts like Comp Cams or Jesel rockers for example, you have to inspect and clean meticulously before installation. I have seen cams with oil holes plugged up with solidified machining oil and metal swarf, and conrods also plugged with casting flash just waiting to kill a motor on startup if I hadn't of caught it. I'm sure Grumpy Jenkins fanatically cleaned and triple checked everything before buttoning up an engine, it was no different back in his day..

A little bit of mismatch on the bottom isn't a big deal because most of the air flows on the top of the ports.

I've used there hei distributors haven't had a problem it looks pretty good all and all for the price

Are Edelbrocks twice as good? They are twice the price! We won't know until they are dynoed. But still looks good.
