I have a OnePlus 7 pro and I am wanting to use to it as a desktop PC but do you recommend buying a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard or would a type c to USB adapter hub work ?

The only tech reviewer in the history of tech reviews to praise Apple for bypassing the more standard USB-C connection in favor of it own proprietary technology in the lightning port. You lost me there.

And yet Microsoft did it first and better. Currently writing this from my Lumia 950 XL using continnum. It only misses the windowed apps, and yet being a "dead" OS it still works like a charm. Even better, it can work wirelessly with that true desktop experience. This device has become my daily PC, so I only use my power hungry Core i9 when needed. for daily tasks like browsing, mail stuff, music, videos some picture and video editing and even Office productivity this thing is fine. Sadly Nadella thought this was a waste of time... seems the rest of the world though otherwise and decided to catch up

Lol, I've been using cellphone as a desktop since the HTC Evo Supersonic. Once it was rooted, you could use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard; it came with a microHDMI port already.

5:00 are you using the wired connection for the display or Chromecast here? Does that Samsung splitter allow you to hook up mouse/keyboard/monitor?

Sir, could you please do a video on how to connect a regular Android phone to external monitor. Please! I bought two external monitors but they won't connect to my phone. Thank YOU in advance

This really is a great way to use your cellphone. Theres alot of things on my phone that I could do way easier and faster...like coding and web development and working with some games and apps and websites while using a keyboard and mouse. I bought this 1000$ galaxy 20s. And it's more powerful than most topnof the line computers today. So..I blue tooth a keyboard, mouse, and mirror on my big screen tv....and boom...you have a top of the line pc.

Galaxy s-10? Samsung has offered the Windows-like experience (DEX) since Galaxy S8. This is old news for Samsung users

He's "gotta give apple credit for using the same charger on all their devices" . but literaly every device producer does that. Android is a software producer not a hardware producer.

Hey, any ideas as to whether any phones currently offer the desktop experience other than the S22 Ultra?

As good and full of usefull information as it was, it wasnt what Im trying to look for. What I want is a way to use the cpu in my android galaxy j3 to run a robot that my grandson & I are building. I want to go wired if possible as this will secure it from hacking. Any help and or advice would be great and again great video I subscribed to your channel.

My Android tablet died in 2019 so I've been looking at this kind of solution for making my Android smartphone more useful. In addition to the solution discussed in this video, there are also devices called "lapdocks" than combine a monitor, keyboard, touchpad and battery. Currently, the Nexdock 360, Uperfect X, and Eviciv Lapdock are available from the manufacturer's websites. I think all 3 connect via cables so they may not be a good option for everyone (as mentioned in the video not all smarthones support this).

I've been running my laptop like a desktop for years. I would really like to be able to do similar with my smart phone. This video was posted almost two years ago and I've wondered how things have changed? Also, if I want the simplest approach what type of phone should I buy?

Here is a list of the connections that I remember this morning from my laptop - wonder which I can easily do from my phone and how to do it? Ideally, when my phone dies, is lost or I change services, I would like to easily swap in the next one.

I run my laptop closed as I think you may do, with external monitor, full size keyboard, mouse, printer, external speakers and USB drive connected (where I store most of my local data) WIFI and ethernet internet connection.

If there are other good and / or more current videos and articles available, please post link.

Thanks.
