On day 3, we model a picket fence using arrays and components in SketchUp. Arrays are very important for creating multiple copies of objects, and components allow you to repeat linked objects that all update at the same time if you change one!

In isolation, I suffer with the inability to transition my ideas / thoughts into tangible assets. The efforts, time, and wisdom you put into these productions is simply amazing. I have learned so much from just your process "alone" that I consider it to be priceless opportunity to simply observe.

Many have already said their deep gratitude and appreciations but hitting the thumbs up on their comments just isn't enough.

You sir are an amazing teacher and educator. You pace, deepth and clarity is perfect for me. Humble thanks!

Brilliant, just brilliant. I have been looking for a free 3D-package for many years and have only just discovered SketchUp. It is a fantastic resource and, while I have only completed 3 or your tutorials, I have learnt so much. Many thanks for posting these.

As an avid Guides user, I find it helpful to create a keyboard shortcut to both show/hide guides as well as delete guides. I use the G key to show/hide guides (View -> Guides) and the Option-G shortcut (Mac) to delete guides (Edit -> Delete Guides). Caveats... The Edit -> Delete Guides command deletes ALL guides. If you've hidden Guides with the View -> Guides command to turn them off, then try to add a new guide, the new guide is created, but immediately hidden. Select Edit -> Guides again to show all your guides, including the newly created Guide.

This 30 days version you did it much faster and a little bit difficult to follow than the basic lessons you did before. Anyway, thank you so much.

I find when moving the fence section it doesn't snap to the edges nicely, it looks like its on the edge but when you zoom in its a few cm off, so maybe when I move stuff I'll type in the distance
