The TRAGIC Story of this Famous WW2 German Soldier...

preview_player
Показать описание
This is among the most famous pictures of World War 2, and one of the most famous portraits of a German soldier taken during the battle of Normandy 1944. But who is this man? What is his story?

EDIT: The picture of the soldier alone holding an MG-42 might not be him, but one of his friends**. My apologies.

Wait, how do you disable a Churchill heavy tank with an MG-42? It's almost unbelievable but the chad Otto managed to do it, damn

Only those who have experienced war, know the true horrors of war...it matters not who they fought for because soldiers fight for each other.

It makes me happy to see the stories of Germans in WW2. Not many people understand a country's politics does not reflect the people that live in it

When I lived in Germany I realized German ww2 vets didn't get the recognition they deserved. This is great work. I'm enjoying it

I think they were from the 12th SS Panzer Division, i can guess that because of the ages, and how he thinked Germany could still win, since German Youths were adoctrinated with that and they made youths believe that

Okay, now I want an analytical video from someone like Chieftain or Indy Lidell (never learned how his name is actually spelled lol) or Lindybeige, exploring how did they manage to knock out s fucking Churchill of all tanks with an MG42.

All that horror at 18 ! And the “faraway “ look in his eyes! So so sad ! I’m glad he got to live into this century and could smile again 😢
