House of the Dragon Timeline Explained

The Game of Thrones prequel will either have some flashbacks or time jumps

At one point in the 2nd episode, the king stated that it’s difficult to talk to his 15yo daughter - so she’s definitely older than 7.

Maybe thats how old she was in the books when Viserys made everyone swear fealty to himself and her, but thats absolutely not her age in the show. That actress is Milly Alcock and she's already 22. She's obviously playing a teenage Rhaenyra, not a 7 year old.

i think they aged her up a little bit for the show the same way they aged up Dany for GOT. Doesn't look 7 in the show. I also think they aged down Otto's daughter so her and Viserys' daughter can be closer in age/best friends/sisters. Still a good premiere.

Thanks for the timeline video. I've read (and listened to) all the related books, and/but it's quite difficult to keep track of Who's who, When. Especially when the names are similar-sounding, and sometimes refer to different characters. The timeline here provides significant help. I'm saving this video, plus subscribing.

HOTD will be interesting for me because I had gotten into ASOIAF when GOT season 6 had just released. I caught up to the lore in time for Season 7 and since then read all of the books including Fire and Blood. So now with HOTD I'll be going in knowing everything about the story along with other book fans and will be able to see the perception it has with show only viewers
