People can’t get it through their heads it’s about the baptized not the baptizer.
It’s about the obedient soul following God’s plans and His salvation. 😊

While I’d agree that Paul’s intent in that Corinthians passage was not to talk about the necessity of baptism, I think the way he describes baptism in relation to the gospel is telling.

If you hold to baptismal regeneration then Paul would essentially be saying “God sent me to preach the gospel, but not to actually help people be saved and regenerated through baptism.” Since we know Paul is not saying that, then I think it’s safe to say that physical baptism is not part of the gospel message, but rather how you outwardly respond to it.
