It is just what I need — notations and symbols.
Then what about 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... nth derivative rules? For example, I see d^2x/ dy^2 or f''(x)

y = f(x)
y + dy = f(x + dx)
f(x) + dy = f(x + dx)
dy = f(x+dx) – f(x)
dy/dx = (f(x+dx) – f(x))/dx

this is basically the limit definition of the derivative
