He is the first guy who explained calculus so calmly and detailed also easily!! Thank you!

What a great way to break down a simple, but critical, idea. Thank you for you video and your time.

Great video. I learned calculus years ago but never came to be so clear about all these notations. Thanks

you're awesome Eddie, I love coming back to these videos to cement the fundamentals when I'm feeling a little foggy, it really helps to bring other knowledge back! <3

Thank you SO much for this video! I'm taking an economics course in english and was so lost at the vocabulary, didn't know how to read the formulas aloud! This was super helpful and very well explained

A good way to pass my time during this pandemic.

I was going through grade 9 math videos and somehow ended up here. Now I know derivative notation lol. Super interesting, thank you! :)

Something cool about that last example: A change in position can be measured for example in meters and a change in time for example in seconds. So the result of "dp/dv" (kind of weird to pick "v" for a position, but OK) can be just e.g. "5m/1s"=5m/s.

this has completely unlocked my understanding of what I've been doing

If you put a delta over an arrow in a chemical equation, you are signifying that you are heating the reagents together. However a delta in a chemical mathematical equation signifies a “change in”

Wow....Maybe I need to rewind back to Algebra 🤔. My mom is taking pre-calc, so I'm "Googling" a bit to see if I can grasp it (you know....just in case she needs me help 😂) but SHEESH! I would need every single component broken down and explained in detail. I'm like that with everything I attempt to learn unfortunately. Like I need the complete history of f(x) 😒.

Every time he says "f dash x" I cringe. Here in the US I learned it as "f prime of x".

never heard derivatives called "F Dash" always heard it as "F Prime"

I have to agree with people who say 'prime' rather than dash. Not a big problem.
Does this notation/terminology conflict with notations a student might learn after high school such as the unified mathematical language for math and physics developed by David Hestenes?

4:09 so he was learning calculus in 11 that’s insane

Is this High School math? Or the Australia equivalent? Very helpful.

What I want to know is how is the eraser and a rag sticking to the board? Magnetism? Sorcery? Does it have to do with draining water in Australia turning the wrong way? 😄
