Power from the Gulf

The Gulf of Maine could become New England’s next big source of renewable energy. The proposed offshore wind farm would put floating turbines many miles out in the Gulf of Maine. What could it mean for carbon emissions, the ocean ecosystem and wildlife? Willem Lange visits the Block Island Wind Farm, a much smaller version off the coast of Rhode Island to learn more about it and the effects on the fishery.
