How Chipolo, AirTag and Tile stack in terms of tracking was the important bit I expected, but sadly seems to be absent from what I expected from an "Ultimate Comparison

Chipolo does alert you when you leave the device behind. Much better than tile as you have to pay extra to have that feature.

It's too late when you realized your lost your item. That's why I switched from Tile to Nut Mini. I get an alert on phone immediately when I left my wallet behind. And it's cheaper!

I've got a harness for my dog that fits an apple Air tag, but I'm on android.. would you recommend using the apple tag or is there another one that would fit in an apple Air tag holder?

Ther Airtag doesn’t have a button you can push to find your phone like the Tile does?

You should specify where tile has the good user base. I would say it doesn’t really exist outside USA ;)

I was part of the crowdfunding for Tile and eagerly waited for the release of V1. The first thing I thought was--how is the battery replaced. Sort answer, it doesn't. You toss it and buy a replacement! I did get a bunch of V2 when my V1s died as the alerter was louder. I vowed that I would not get any further Tiles until they had them with replaceable batteries. They finally did with the Tile Pro, but also jacked up the price. I feel a bit miffed that as one in the crowdfunding group to get the company and products to market, Tile would not provide a bigger discount for customers.

Hi Andrew! If i leave a tracker in my car glove box and I park my car in in a multi level shopping centre car park will “find my” help me locate my car? Sounds like Apple might block this as a privacy issue. Once the tracker is outside the range of the iPhone then potentially this could be someone maliciously tracking. Please advise?

The tiles pro are IP55, AirTags, IP67 ... Not sure where you are getting your information from.

Air tags pros: Apple ecosystem, replaceable batteries, U1 tracking, water resistance, and seamless use.
CONS: No button to ring your phone, doesn't have a thin wallet option, not as great as anti-theft (thieves with iPhones can be notified of loss items), have to get adhesive and ring holders seperate.
Tile Pros: Button to ring your phone, several trackers, various price points, premium services, some have replaceable batteries and slightly better anti-theft.
CONS: Limited Bluetooth network (still the best Bluetooth tracking network), pro version vs non, some tiles have no replaceable batteries, some higher-priced trackers, and no ultra-band chip.
