I have had both the Tile Mate and Tile Slim 2022 and both died on me within the first year. Tile was kind enough to replace them and ship me new ones, but this speaks to their quality in my opinion. I have had Apple airtags for even longer, replaced their batteries (they last about a year) and have had zero issues. Apple airtags are more accurate and do not require a subscription for things like alerts when you leave your item behind (Tile requires a subscription for this).

I've had tile for the longest, and at a time subscribed to the extended service...I don't think the service was really worth it, but the tiles themselves aren't too bad, helped once during a luggage pickup situation at SFO. Been meaning to get the samsung ones, since I primarily use galaxy devices

Alerting people that a tracker is moving with them is stupid. Now the thief that stole my wallet knows I am tracking them.

I use the Samsung smart tag. It also has a button you can map to control devices like lights, tv, dishwasher, security alarms, and send emergency notifications and more

You never mentioned that Tile doesn't work if it's out of range. The two products are very very different

Can you leave a tile or any of these in say a storage unit ans get notified if something is removed? Basically notifying you of your tracker moving position. I can't seem to find anthing like this.

What about the size of network Galaxy vs Apple? If tracker is lost 30 miles away, are the Apple & Galaxy networks comparable?

So, let me get this straight .... If you place these devices on/in an item that might be stolen, the device will alert the thief's phone they are being tracked, defeating the whole purpose of the device. Ok.
