✅Ingredients

• 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
• 2 lemons, juiced (1/2 cup)
• 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
• 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
• 1 teaspoon dried basil
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• ¼ teaspoon salt

✅Instructions

00:00:12 - How to make a simple lemon chicken marinade

1️⃣ 00:00:12 - Place chicken breasts in a gallon-size resealable plastic bag. Pour in lemon juice, olive oil, lemon pepper, basil, oregano, and salt. Shake it a bit so all the chicken tenders get covered.

2️⃣ 00:00:51 - Let marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.

3️⃣ 00:00:56 - Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat.

4️⃣ 00:01:00 - Remove the chicken from the marinade and place directly into the hot skillet. Discard any remaining marinade.

5️⃣ 00:01:07 - Cook chicken 6 to 7 minutes per side, flipping halfway through. Continue cooking until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

6️⃣ 00:01:26 - Serve hot. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon slices (optional).

Oh my gosh!! This turned out to be so delicious and flavourful. My mother in-law came over for dinner last minute, and normally I am the worst cook (which sucks for my husband), and I had to make something quick and easy.... Wow! This came out amazing. This Lemon Chicken recipe was absolutely delicious! I didn't have any lemon pepper so I substituted lemon thyme from my garden and everyone loved dinner. Since I'm working from home, I didn't have the time to cook the chicken in a skillet so I baked it at 350 degrees until internal temperature of the chicken was 165 degrees.
BTW, the ingredients listed above shows 1/4 teaspoon of salt and in the video she says to add 1/2 teaspoon of salt. I followed the video recipe. Thank you so much for this healthy, easy dish!!!

I added the zest of the lemon to the marinate for extra taste. I used fresh Thai basil & oregano combo plus other ingredients. I prefer skinless thighs over breasts as they are more tender

I’m making this right now, I just don’t have the basil!!! I was reading the comments some said don’t add the oregano to the chicken…. Kindaaa late for that now, it’s marinating in the fridge (Ps don’t have anymore lemons) hopefully turns out great 😌
