Friends and family of Banko Brown, the man shot and killed at a San Francisco Walgreens were asking for justice after District Attorney Brooke Jenkins confirmed on Monday evening that the security guard who fatally shot him has been released and will not face any charges. Jose Martinez reports.

How did this young black Trans man end up homeless with all these people who are calling him family? He should have never lost his life. He should have never been homeless or attempting to steal anything. All you people want to come out after the fact but where were you when he was alive? He did all this for the community and yet y'all couldn't find him a stable home y'all couldn't convince him to get the mental health care that he needed to take care of the trauma of being homeless? No, being homeless is no excuse to go and rob somebody and put somebody else in danger. And for those of y'all saying that that store needs to close it's not fair for the people that work in that store that depend on that store for their livelihood the end up homeless because of the choices of somebody else. Nobody should have to lose they life. However, with all you people standing there where the hell were you when he was alive? There should not have been a reason for him to be homeless
