This is how I run my HX Stomp live - I play both a guitar and Moog Subsequent 37 through it.

With some creative routing and the use of the Stomp's FX loop, you can even run the guitar through the external input of a synth to run it through the filter.

Love the stomp, but it hardly has enough dsp power for one complete signal chain.

It's incredible how this unit is behind the times and stuck in time, calling amplifiers and cabinets upgrades seems like a sarcastic joke, any other entry-level equipment has a cloud with thousands of professional amplifiers and cabinets available for free,
