Line6 Spider settings

Setting relative volume levels and finding where settings are for presets

I just tragically lost my guitarist of 30 years. His wife told me he wanted me to have his gear. One thing that I recieved was his Line 6 150 watt spider II.
It is difficult to find detailed setting preferences by users.
I have not ever played guitar, but now I have started to learn. I was also not ever involved in which equipment he used, but now I know, and now I appreciate his work even more. Thank you for the very well made "insight video" of how this machine can be controlled. Peace

Excellent - I have put it into what Sean says, because if you are anything like me you will need a print out until it is programmed into the eprom in your brain.

This is the process:

Channel settings

To see where the settings are

hold down the tap button  - while holding it down turn 'amp models' knob all the way to zero then to 12 o'clock

then as you turn each tone knob - the channel lights will light up when you reach where each tone is set

do this for the channel volume too

Let go of the tuner button

now the knobs are exactly where the channel settings were stored

You can now change the settings - to store them -  Push and hold the channel button until it blinks, let it go and then push it again until it stops blinking and the settings are stored in that location.

Switch channels and repeat the process.

When I've set up my presets on my Spider II, the only really usable way I've found to do it is at actual volume.  Otherwise the levels seem to be way off, sometimes the EQ is wrong, etc.  This might be another reason people hate on these amps so much, "It doesn't sound like how I set it!"  Just my two bits.  Nice video!  Thanks for posting.

Thanks for this video! I had problems using my 30W amp. The volume went away and other annoying things happened. Hopefully I'll be able now to get my settings stored.
