Agreed, UNacceptable. It's a scandal that, with this in his background, Stanford is allowing him to continue working at their institution.

Do you think that AI systems will be trained to look at papers published in the past for inconsistencies?
PS — Stanford University probably looked at the entire incident and didn't want to start pulling strings from the entire ball of string. Will probably retire after a couple of years. He did do a lot for the university in general even if papers had to be retracted or modified.

Its a major research and ethics issue. How can he teach and oversee students research when he can't ethically do it himself? It would be wiser to remove him than to let him continue as a professor. Actions have consequences.
