It's funny how so many people completely forget to breathe when they are fighting. Aside from throwing punches that's like the most important thing. But you're right people get caught up in the moment

Can you do a video how to improve defence/head movement?

This is pretty much what my coach used to tell me but just not as eloquently LOL I used to be tense all the time thinking I had to be ready to get hit that wasted so much energy

This is my new favorite boxing channel on YouTube. Since your early videos you always go into things from a whole different perspective than what's already out there

Excellent breakdown as always coach, it's funny how many times I look back and realized all these mistakes I was making after the fact I was oblivious to them while they were happening. Hearing you explained it from the outside makes it even clear what needs to be done

These three points are spot-on!!! I gassed out during my first fight as a "bull rusher" pushed me all over the ring. I was in great shape but it wasn't enough.

Staying loose will also result in much more powerful punches. It’s almost an art unto itself because it takes practice. Excellent video.

What you said in this video is freaking real coach! Just want to ask you two things:
First one is: how do you exhale when you’re sparring if you don’t know that you’re holding you’re breath? I mean sometimes i do it sometimes i don’t and when i don’t i don’t even know that i’m holding my breath
Second one: how to get loose when sparring or hitting the mitts?i always get tense and i cant get away from this bad habit…
Btw great video as always! Thanks for sharing

It sounds stupid forgetting to breath, because you breath naturally without thinking about it, but I've been in that position of holding my breath without realising, it's weird having to train to remember to breathe.

And was guilty of being tight and tense without realising it

Been doing amateur boxing for a while and i always get gassed out on fights.. it really frustrates me because i do have stamina i just don’t admin my self properly:( ive had 6 knee surgeries and that wont stop me to do my fav sport but it does get on my nervs i also move allot and get tense, prob my breathing is bad aswell, but as soon as i get in the ring is hard for me to concentrate and focus on admin. Well me practicing your tips

I feel like a big part of it is also body conditioning. If your body isn’t used to getting hit you’ll gas out for sure so just running isn’t the whole picture. It’s a big part of it but it’s not everything. I felt this after coming back to the gym after taking a long break for school.

Hello coach, I'm trying to get in touch with your gym in wallkill to register for classes for my son. What's the best way to contact you? I tried emailing and the mailbox is full. Thanks in advance.

No1.breathe properly
No2.be economically efficient with all your movements
No3.stay loose
