Cattle heal land - Roots So Deep now available!

Cows being a potential solution for climate and wildlife is a foreign idea to many people.

Our research is showing that when adaptively grazed, cows can be a benefit to ecosystems around the world.

We know for some folks that’s a tough claim - and that’s why we vetted our research for years - with scientists of many backgrounds, including those who knew cows were a problem - and would never be a solution. We wanted to make sure our methods were approved ahead of time, so our data would stand on its own. Our goal was to conduct rigorous research to measure and compare the farms of the innovative cattle farmers working to rebuild their soils with their conventional farming neighbors across the fence.

This documentary is so important!! You guys, did such a fantastic job on this. Nrcs should be making it mandatory for all of there employees to watch so they could share it with farmers. I'm meeting with a UGA grazing specialist and a couple people from NRCS next week and you better believe ill be suggesting that they watch

I wish the shows were available to everyone. I cant afford to pay but id love to watch them. Plus, I know tons of folks who'd also like to watch but also cant afford to pay. I understand the need to make money but it limits your audience. 😢

Sadly the way ag has gone the only way to make dairy work is fully enclosed systems milking thousands of cows a day. As a farmer I absolutely agree with you cattle are part of the North American ecosystem well bison were but cattle make a good replacement.

I suspect that the cows/cattle being a positive for the land is in an~ _in a herd/ in a field situation, _ as in, a group eating the grass natural designed them to eat, digesting it, pooping out the natural fertilizer for the next growth of grass to grow strong on, not the factory beef situations where they are force fed food they would never eat otherwise, like corn that their systems can not digest properly and slowly kills them~ the cow factories even have it timed so they slaughter the cows just before their intestines burst and poison all the meat from that cow..
I don't KNOW this to be true, but I suspect the way cattle were evolved to live would also be better for the environment they evolved to live in. Just as I suspect cows that aren't constantly being pumped full of antibiotics and steroids so they weigh an extra few pounds at Point of Slaughter are better for people to eat than those who only receive antibiotics if they have bacterial infections, and are allowed to heal from those infections before reaping provide better/safer meat for the consumer.
