The entitlement and selfishness is off the charts.

There was a woman who would on the daily, use the sidewalk to avoid a bus stop while the bus was loading students. After weeks of this, and the school board doing nothing, the driver and students took matters into their own hands and had a cop sit near by. Right on time, the woman used the side walk and the police ambushed her. It was all caught on camera.

Since he seems to really like sidewalks, take away his car (and license) so he can spend even MORE time on his beloved sidewalk.

They were merely ticketed...
They should at least have their drivers license suspended for habitually posing such danger to the public.

Try leaving for work 20 minutes earlier and if you get to work 20 minutes early turn on the radio and drink your coffee or get out and stretch and get ready for the day. Plus it has the extra benefit of no tickets for driving on the sidewalks.

This is reckless driving. Should have done time instead of just a ticket.

The people who think the rules apply to everyone else but them...

Why don’t they take this dunce’s driving privileges away so they can enjoy the sidewalk they love to drive on?

The sense of entitlement and lack of concern for others in this country is mind blowing

Impound the car, no more need to worry about the inconvenience of rush hour. Yeah I know it’s not realistic, but it’s still a nice idea.

I've seen a lot of awful drivers here in New York City but admittedly, I don't think I've ever seen this. This is next level stupidity

Show their face! They deserve to be shown so that people can watch out for them.

Considering the speed in the beginning of the video I believe a severe beatdown was in order, not just a ticket.

People walking, pushing a stroller, in a wheelchair, using a walker, etc - doesn't mix well with a 4, 156 pound vehicle. (I Google'd 'how much does an average car weigh' for that number.) Plus sidewalks are built to withstand people - not cars, trucks or motorcycles. The structural integrity of the sidewalks could have been compromised. I believe the vehicle should be impounded until the court date and the driver should be forced to forfeit their license for at least a year. And the driver should have to pay for a structural study of the sidewalks and for all needed repairs. Do I sound harsh? Maybe. But if he or she slammed a 4, 000+ pound vehicle into someone you love, or even you, I imagine your feelings would change.

OMG...the fact that this is even a thing is beyond insane. Makes tailgating and driving in the breakdown lane seem like the good old days.

This is common up here in Delaware. Drivers often use shoulders, medians, and sidewalks to pass vehicles. It's a growing issue where people don't think laws apply to them. And, for the most part, they get away with it. I had an 'entitled' person pass me on the grass median today.

you're not stuck in traffic, YOU ARE the traffic

As much as I absolutely hate traffic with every inch of my being I could never do something like this. Between anxiety and the worry of going to jail.

someone stepping from grass onto the sidewalk putting a baseball ⚾️ off their windshield would have made driver think twice
