Florida drivers warned of aggressive driving crackdown

Road Terrorists: Some don't even "bother" with drivers licenses or insurance as rest of us comply with because it's important. The crashes we see are not, for the most part, caused by "drivers", they are caused by those who don't think laws apply to them. Impaired, illegal, street takeovers, insane, entitled speeds that are for aircraft, not wheels. A "crackdown" is LONG over due for those who lost lives due to drivers like this.

As a Floridian I 100% confirm this. I always watch out for EVERYONE on the road, it's absolutely insane. I always try to go the speed limit but there's ALWAYS someone tailgating me unless I go at least 10 over!

Sadly it’s scary to drive in Florida, and it’s so aggressive, with in and out weaving, but don’t expect signal directions….. sadly they give anybody a license there!

This is stupid...cite the drivers and take their licenses. It will really hit home in Florida, where public transit is not really a "thing". Random driver's tests will help too...obviously they can't afford to test EVERYONE regularly...but they can do random "spot" tests. Also, annual practical testing after the age of 75 years. NOTHING JUSTIFIES DOING NOTHING.

People say guns are the cause of violence but auto mfgrs make cars that go 3 times the highest limit legal and sale them to anyone no matter age.

So when all these people get their licenses after taking written and road tests, it's ok for them to just forget how to drive safely and not recklessly with wild abandon in their 2-3 Ton killing machines on wheels? Is it that difficult to understand you are on the road with other people's lives and your own in your hands. 😪😕

I wish these troopers luck. No matter how many citations you issue out people will default back to their egomaniacal dangerous/aggressive driving habits. If they want to risk their lives they should stick to a race track or an abandoned road/highway somewhere and not out on busy public roads.

and I’m not talking about transplants/travelers. I’m going the speed limit on the second lane, and you have cars aggressively tailgating you and speeding to pass you from both left and right lanes, aggressively cutting you off. It’s like all the locals know how to do is drive boats and they think a car should be a land version of a water ski. People don’t cooperate to merge, and when you need to exit, no one’s trying to let you change lanes. They’d rather block you off and go ahead at the cost of you missing your exit. So ppl of Florida, stop being delusional and know the reality. It’s not just your youth, it’s the middle aged males AND females

We have a lot of new young disrespectful undisciplined out of state drivers who have little respect for other motorists. Years ago, I used to see this in places like Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. Now I'm seeing it in interior locations as well.

People at the track are well aware of the danger of speed. They need to go down to the Dodge dealer and educate charger drivers

These young girls on the road are just as bad it’s everyone if your not going 80 or above they are on your bumper, than cutting you off 🤦🏻

There should be a track in Each County for these kids to go to. It’s so hard to find anywhere safe for these kids that just let out some energy.

They need to do the same thing at Sunshine Speedway. Have the FHP and maybe some sponsors create events on these tracks that will invite these boy-racers to legally speed/race.
