FYI: You'll be a lot more comfortable on the stationary bike if you lift the saddle a bit and bring it forward closer to the handlebars. Your leg should be almost straight with just a slight bend in the knee at the bottom of the pedal stroke for optimal power delivery and comfort.

Your current position is too low which means your legs aren't fully extending at the bottom of the pedal stroke, and the saddle being so far back is to blame for your hunched over posture so bringing it forward a bit will help with both power delivery and take some strain off your back and shoulders. There's plenty of vids on youtube on how to approximate a decent riding position and it makes a HUGE difference if you're going to be spending any considerable time on the bike.

I signed up for a 50k with the plan on switching to the 50 miler on yesterday! The race is October 1st..just have to figure out training! Best of luck to you!!!

Are you doing heart rate training zone 2 for your ultra? Wasn't sure as you're really fast, but zone 2 training has definitely improved my endurance in the short amount of time I've been doing it!
