To prevent that reload script window from coming up, go into your Godot editor and...

Editor --> Editor Settings --> Text Editor --> Behavior and check "Auto Reload Scripts on External Change"

I've actually been using Rider with Godot (Mono) for a while now, and haven't had many problems. The fact that Godot is getting official support in Rider is icing on the cake!

if they support GDScript, it'll be a massive win

It's nice to see Godot getting wider recognition.

Oh wow, cool. I guess I can finally give Godot a try. Rider is awesome for Unreal/Unity development. I'm sure it'll work wonders for Godot too.

I LOVE IT! I use Rider for Unity for a few years now. And I helped alpha and beta test Rider for Unreal. Haven’t wanted to use Godot with Rider with GDScript because it wasn’t yet supported. Now, I have a reason to use Godot now.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

There's a switch in the godot settings to auto load script changes. I'm also a fan of Rider and godot (mono), use it all the time!

C# is really powerful in Godot. Everyone should try to develop their games in C# at least once. That would greatly improve how many contributors we would have too.

I always keep an eye on Godot, especially now with Rider support! I've been using Rider with Unity for a good while now and can't go back to other IDEs. I'm just waiting for the day that I can develop an entire game in a stand-alone Linux based VR headset.. hopefully within the decade, just as like a side project thing

I use Rider on a daily basis for Unreal work, I've got nothing but praise for it. it's a fantastic IDE that just works. The code completion never fails me and the refactoring tools have saved me so much time. Easily worth the money.

Brilliant video. It makes a lot of sense if people are using both Godot and Unity and want consistency by using C#, to use Rider by JetBrains. This video was very informative.

I have been using Rider since Godot 3.3 (which was the first time using Godot). I really like the combination and the debugging and intellisense are a lot better than VSCode in my opinion.

Amazing!

There should probably be a way to always reload when the reload prompt asks. Or maybe something to be added.

I really liked Rider with Unreal, but once it was no longer free I could not really justify the cost as a hobbyist.

My jaw dropped thinking JetBrains did a GDScript IDE 😄 That probably doesn't make sense from a business standpoint.

Didn't know rider had Godot support, awesome 🤩
Is there any way to get rid of the reload pop up?

I love rider, I hated using c++ in unreal with visual studio due to how cumbersome it was.

I've been using Visual Studio for years but for my game development work Rider is way better.

How's it doing today? I'm just curious.

I'd suggest to use the new ui. You can set it in the settings. They revamped the ui system/design with their Fleet IDE and migrated it to Webstorm and now later also Rider. That's all I'm using so I have no clue about the other IDEs from Jetbrains.
