Just Stop Oil: Activists disrupt parliamentary committee hearing on policing protests

Just Stop Oil protesters have been heard disrupting proceedings at the Home Affairs Committee in Parliament.

The committee was hearing from Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist of the Met Police on how the force had policed the coronation of King Charles, and the controversy that surrounded it.

Proceedings were briefly suspended before resuming not long afterwards.

Some male members of the Select Committee displayed complete contempt for the lawfully protesting citizens. We should escalate this to the Ministry of Justice rather than politicians. This is the only option available to maintain the lawful democratic integrity of the United Kingdom.
