Toward the end of the "Superstition" story arc, PC debuted a radically different new opening that lasted for the final year of the series. The departed/demoted characters of Eve (Julie Pinson), Gabriela (Ion Overman), Scott (Kin Shriner) and Serena (Carly Schroder) were removed, while the characters of Ricky (Eddie Matos) and Rafe (Brian Gaskill) were added.

This version debuted June 17, 2002.
