How To Fix Can't drag clips into timeline (Adobe Premiere Pro)

This short tutorial shows how to fix inability to drop videos into a timeline. The cause of the issue is that no video tracks had been selected before dragging and dropping videos into a timeline.

I guess so many dislikes comes from those who click V1 on the right side of the lock icon (and facing with no changes). This part is to toggle the track. However the V1 button on the left side (of the lock) is for source patching for inserts and overwrites. This one should be clicked.

This ain't it for me, my problem is that as soon as I start up premiere pro. The blue icons that say V3, V2, V1 & A1, A2, A3 are never even there to begin with. Dragging a video into the timeline won't even make them appear too. Anyone have this problem also?
