If you can't upload video to Premiere, but the audio comes in fine, try one of these fixes!

My recording setup (btw some of these are Amazon affiliate links):
Camera: iPhone 11
Recording software: Quicktime
Editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects

You can also try to check the A1 and V1 on the LEFT side of the Lock Icon. If the A1 is highlighted, just click it and try to drag the Video again. You can now put videos.

It looks like when you click the A1, audios will only be allowed to be dragged on the timeline and vice versa. Hope it helps! ♥

Thanks Anne! I tried everything for a half hour, and was getting desperate. I found your video, and your solution worked perfectly! Thank you so much!

Loved the way you displayed different solutions, short and sweet!... there were other videos, but super long winded explanations!

Thank you! Four years later and I still needed to find you. Surely Adobe should have fixed this by now? You're an angel!

God I'm such an idiot. I always forget about the video layer toggles sometimes being off. Thank you.

I went through each of the methods you gave in the video and the LAST one worked. I'm still scratching my head as to why this happened all of a sudden. I've been working on this project for a week. I wasn't even able to drag the videos I already HAD in the timeline back into the timeline again. The one thing I did this morning was to sort my assets, trying to put them in alphabetic order. I must have checked something. At any rate, thank you for the suggestions and the answer that worked for me! I'll be able to complete my Illustrator tutorial now!

Thank you so much. I'm here trying to work on college projects and I was about to cry and scream. This saved me so much time.

Thank you, your solution worked great for me. I think the error happens when the first sequence was created from an image and then add a video in that timeline.

The last tip of making a new sequence then copying in to the main sequence worked for me! Thanks! I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro V 14 for Windows
