One thing I like about these old server PCs or workstation PCs is the 6 pin power connector. The 6 pin to 8 pin adapter is so much better than those SATA power adapters.

Great for $240, However. Only 2- P410s sold on Ebay listed in sales history. On Aug 27 2024- for $41.99 + $20.09 shipping with a E5 1630V4 and 32 GB of RAM. That would be your PC. There was 1other for $100 including shipping. The other listings are $200 to $500. So, this 1off bargain build for $240 is great, but that's what it was.It's unlikely this deal will be replicated.

the 1660v4 is still a cool processor to use even today. 8 cores 16 threads of pretty much almost Skylake IPC, would be a good upgrade if found cheap

You guys always get so close on these old workstations, but end up missing the mark.
The whole point is to get a Xeon with a lot of cores, and Quad-Channel RAM...
Call it a $300 budget, drop in a bigger CPU, and two more ECC sticks.

2680v4 is like $17 on aliexpress, would definitely be putting something like that in with this. cpu bottleneck on that 4 core is crazy.

you could hawe bouth rx 480, not much of difference but u could get it for 100 dollars cheaper considering u dont need any adapters

running mine with 96gb quad-channel ram, and a quadro m2000 (came with) for $110 total. next stop: e5-1680v4 (8c\16t) and an rtx 3050 8gig...
