This video shows you how to install a new front left lower control arm from TRQ on your 2007-2011 Toyota Camry. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear. When those bushings run out, that can have a negative impact on the ride and safety of your vehicle.

This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2007 Toyota Camry
2008 Toyota Camry
2009 Toyota Camry
2010 Toyota Camry
2011 Toyota Camry

Tools you will need:
• 21mm wrench
• 22mm Wrench
• Safety Glasses
• 10mm Hex Socket
• Wheel Chocks

I was first quoted $2400 (8 hrs labor) to replace L & R control arms due to cracked bushings on my 07 XLE. Then they came back and said they could do it in 6 hrs which drops it to just over $2K. Cars only worth 3-5 K so not sure what I should do. Any thoughts and no I can't do it myself. The control arms were replaced 4/19/18. 6 years ago and 36K miles ago. Shouldn't they last longer than that? Thanks in advance.

TRQ-- Would this repair look the same on a 2011 Toyota Venza ?? Both cars use the same platform, correct ?? Amazing repair video, BTW !!!

one of those 2 front bolts on the arm looked like it siezed while backing it out. I had that happen to me. scored the bolt on the way out (should have shot some penetrating oil in there first) and had to replace it w/a new one. Toyota wanted $ 24 for it so I went to Broward Bolt, got one for less than $ 3 (got several for future) and had to chase the nut w/a tap (M16x1.5). be careful out there.

Pretty cool explained video, I would have loved to see the kind of damage or worn out part and what noises were the indication of the problem.
My car make a noise while at high speed on the freeway and a little clunk when i brake, also a little noise while turning at a very low speed . Iam afraid it can not be just the worn out bushing on ghe lower control arm .
