I saw one last week, it was huge, I'd guess 2" long.

They are everywhere though... got pictures and video. Probably 16 last year and seen 7 or 8 this year plus the video and still. I just hope that there is no one claiming they aren't here. All across ontario..

I have a nest above the door on my cabin. I make a deal with wasps/hornets. Leave me alone, I'll leave you alone. These big guys have kept to themselves so they can stay. However, I've had problems with the smaller wasps. They need to go.

😂 apparently the danger of the more giant ones is Also minimal.

Slow news day..

Literally comparing apples to apples here and trying to make it seem like something..

It’s still nothing 😂

i have a peterson field guide on insects, neither wasp/hornet is listed. i trust my peterson field guides.

i killed 2 last week. i have never seen a wasp of that stature. ever. this creature has a stinger to match its size.

in addition, i have not seen a bee or a bumble bee in the rose bushes, this year. i normally see bumble bees in the yard; not this year. is that a coincidence? because i can't help but think the new wasp and no bees are related. they are in the same environment.

i'll feel better when i see a bee in the yard.

I saw multiple west of Kingston, Ontario (I think we were close to Amherstview) a couple years ago. No, not the stupid European ones they're claiming, I mean the giant Asian one. How do I know? It was the size of my thumb and struggled to get into the logistics coupling inside my truck. If you know how big those logistics housings are, you'll know this was NOT a European hornet but infact a 2-3 inch long Asian murder hornet.

I live in a small town Saskatchewan Canada, the other day i killed one that size and thought nothing of its size... i actually have seen those for years, also said hi to a huge bumblebee today size of a quarter... the hornet was in my van, i didn't want any trouble I'm very allergic to their bites. Otherwise i wouldn't have killed it either, we need Hornets just as much as we need bumblebees and flies and maggots 🤐
