Fixing a Lawnboy mower that won't start.

Thanks for watching. This mower was working fine until the handle bar was folded down and transported in a car. Turns out the brake cable was badly damaged so now we have to replace it.

Picked up the exact mower minus the self propel in someone's curbside trash, carb was leaking, did a carb overhaul, haven't had one since the 70's, I love it!!

Yesterday I picked up a lawn boy two stroke lawnmowerIt was a little bit smoky when I picked it up for free it’s a round from the 70s just putting some properly mixed fuel in it it’s no longer smokes that bad only if you’re running at a lower RPMIt even at that it doesn’t smell that bad runs great

i had the same body with a tecumseh engine in it. bought it in 93. called the silver series. one of the best mower i have had. after 20 years of use the engine got tired. did not want to put any money in it so left it outside. gone in a day

I have Lawnboy 2 stroke mower ran last year in the spring. And in the summer I couldn’t get it start I have one just like that same thing

Hey man I'm picking up one of these same mowers today for 5$ thats in good shape but been sitting for 2 years the guy said there's no spark so when I get it I'll clean the coil and the flywheel with a wire brush and that should fix that and then I'll clean the carb and have it running for only 5$ lol

Pick it up!!! I like working on mowers. At worst if it's not salvageable put it out on your curb.

My mower won’t start unless it is at least 6+ and sunny. Nice it finally starts it is ok for an hour or two, until I’m done mowing.

I would check to make sure the engine wasn't locked up and if it wasn't locked up i would take it. I can remember when Lawnboy made some of the best push mowers around we had a few of them growing up.

As said, Sometimes a squirrel finds a nut! Yes definitely pick it up and repair it. I got one almost the same one on my bench that belongs to a neighbor it is at least 20 years old and still in good shape.

I would take it no doubt. It’s free and lawnboy 2 cycles are rare to find, and even rarer in normal use. I use one though. And there probably would not be a second person everyone does not know how easy it is or what a mower is worth. And how if it’s worth fixing

I have a Lawnboy 10323 2 stroke mower, and it was surging before, so i cleaned the carburettor, and as I put everything back together, it will not start at all. It has spark, has compression, has fresh gas, the primer bulb is not broken. So what can the causes be? Thanks!
