Lawn Mower Tune-Up and Maintenance

Regular lawn mower maintenance is important to the health of your mower...and your lawn. At the beginning of each season change the oil, air filter and spark plug to maximize engine performance.

To reduce absorption of moisture, add a fuel stabilizer to your fuel supply. And after every 4 or 5 cuts you'll want to sharpen the blade. A dull blade tears the grass instead of slicing it, which increases the possibility of disease.

Finally, be sure to clean the underside of the mowing deck after each cut.
