Thank you so much sir. Please sir how can I solve this question? A uniform ladder 6 m long and of weight 100N stands on a smooth horizontal wall, making an angle of 60° with the floor. It is held in this position by a horizontal rope tied to the ladder and fixed to the wall 1m above the floor. Find the tension on the rope, and the reactions at the wall and floor.

Resolving perpendicular to the plane, I broke W into its components (Wcos60, Wsin60). As such, Rc - Wcos60 = 0. Rc = Wcos60. However, did does not work. Why is that?

Thanks for the video! I've got a question about the normal reaction. Is the reaction force always perpendicular to the plane of the wall/ support etc that the object is resting on as opposed to the plane of the object that is resting on some wall or support etc?
Is this why in the 'intro to ladders' example, the reaction force is not perpendicular to the ladder, where as here it is? Thanks
