The Sociological Imagination is the ability to take a step back from the familiar routines of daily lives and to look at them with fresh and critical eyes. Coined by Sociologist C. Wright Mills, the Sociological Imagination is defined as “the vivid awareness of the relationship between experience and the wider society”. The sociological imagination aim to find out at which point a personal trouble becomes a social issue. Through the lenses of the Sociological Imagination, we will be able to peel back the layers that make up the public issues and to understand what is happening in themselves as minute points of the intersections of biography and history within society.
