I also believe that the Tesla ride hail system will launch immediately using "supervised FSD" in our personal cars with a tiny local fleet of actual RoboCabs in one or two cities. Lets not forget that Tesla has been manufacturing robotaxis for many months as Elon said long ago that they were just trying to pull microseconds out of the production process.

My prediction is that there will be lots of Optimus robots in the city, and the Optimus robots are using the ridesharing app, getting transported around by Robotaxi. The humans there will just be visitors, observing this robot city

I'm really hoping for some announcement about Tesla Insurance. They pretty much have to do this for FSD because the insurance industry is not going to have a clue and they really need to have detailed data awareness for attributing blame between FSD and a human driver. Such data should also enable them to tune premiums much more finely and also to learn both for mechanical repairability and for FSD improvement. Use of much better data for attributing blame to other, particularly non-Tesla, drivers should also allow further premium reduction. It is past time Tesla got serious about the social engineering that is needed to get unsupervised FSD out into the world.
