Only one RoboTaxi would be a disappointment.
I think there will be much more RoboTaxi's than that but some may be model 3s and /or Ys.
What would be cool is if there were just a few RoboTaxi's with 3 & Ys parked on the street.
Then Elon says oh looks like were are a little low on Taxi's, let me fix that.
Then all the 3s & Ys leave their parking spots and drive to the demo que.

My crazy prediction is there will be a Tesla bot that climbs out of a model Y. This will be their strategy for making the existing fleet fully autonomous. It can clean spills, close doors, see some blindspots, even drive in an emergency.

I think one thing to keep in mind when it comes to miles between interventions is how many of those are critical interventions. Personally with 12.5.4 and the last few 12.5 versions, i noticed my disengagements were almost never because the car was about to crash, they were either because of navigational errors or i just felt more comfortable doing something manually.

I see in videos people take over because "they weren't sure it was going to stop or crash", rightfully so, but honestly i think in the vast majority of those cases FSD wouldn't have crashed, just had an awkward/uncomfortable moment. While less than ideal, that doesn't necessarily make it unsafe for a geofenced robotaxi.

I too have doubts when it comes to robotaxi, but this is just my opinion and personal experience.

My guess is that the "Robotaxi" is a relabel of the canceled Model 2, at twice the price.

I pretty much agree with your take on the 'event'...ya gotta wonder, will Tesla risk the potential PR disaster of a test drive fail or will there be a secret room full of remote-operators to avoid that?
BTW...I predict a $50 per share drop the day after the event.
