I have seen the House of Dragon season 2 trailer, and I must say that HOD trailer looks and feels more “real”, more gritty. In comparison, ROP trailer feels like cosplay to me. HOD has awesome looking dragons, and ROP has, well, “balls of fire” 😂 can’t wait for your episode by episode reviews!!

This kind of delightful time wasting reminds me of the harlequin romances my sister and I would read out loud together. You know the ones - where every tall, dark, and handsome man had heavy lidded eyes and a sardonic smile. Every . last . one . . .

Sauron's wig bothered me the most when I checked the trailer. I think they didn't properly set it right, since Charlie Vickers' hairline wasn't that far back. If we were to compare to the elves we seen in PJ's trilogy and Hobbit, they usually wear circlet when appear on screen and only seen a couple of times when they don't wear it.

Then again, this is RoP; Full with nonsense and don't understand literature. The rings in Tolkien books meant to be subtle hence why the One Ring is a simple gold band, yet they go for the obnoxious looking candy rings. RoP!Galadriel more likely won't use Nenya, just like she won't use her magic to protect the villagers from volcanic ash.

They have better music than the trailer for season 1 I will give them that, but the "story" they present relies again on visual memberberries to Jacksons' Trilogy combined with over the top action. I will "watch" the season the same as the first one: via the commentary of trusted YTbers. XD

The best entertainment of 2022 was Rings of Power.
Well, not the actual show but all the content created by the likes of Lana Marie, et al.
An alliance of man, elf, streamers and podcasters across Middle Earth united to defeat the ring, the circus ring clown troll enemies of Tolkien.

Somehow Annatar returned.. They already set up for the rings to be made (most of them) and Annatar arriving in Mordor, wouldn't surprise me if this season were about the rings creation and Annatar v.2 settling down in Mordor, at least that is what i get out of the trailer...

Not that hyped for rings of power after season 1. Way more excited for House of the Dragon season 2, you should make a video on it.

I’ll definitely watch S2. I need to see if the writers can maintain the hilarious bog standard level of disaster that kept me riveted to S1.
Will they have as many mystery boxes, and will they be as dumb? Will they continue to write awful stupid evil-adjacent characters with the same blind trust that we’ll be charmed or enamoured by them?
Will time and distance continue to be meaningless and off-screen teleportation the primary means of travel?
Will half the dialogue be pretentious but empty tortured metaphors, and the other half sudden and inexplicable hostility?
Will threats and complications suddenly spring out of nowhere and then immediately melt away into nothingness, or just be set aside and memory holed?

I have to see with my own eyes. Oh, yes.
