In this video, I check out the Tendak 4 port powered USB hub, which is a budget USB hub that can help you power and connect your USB devices to your Mac, PC, iPhone or iPad.

Check out the Tendark Powered USB Hub on Amazon:

A powered USB hub can help you connect USB audio interfaces, microphones, MIDI keyboards and a whole range of USB devices to your iPhone, iPad, desktop or laptop computer.

If you are using audio equipment, especially with a mobile device, then a powered USB hub is an essential piece of gear to ensure you can connect and use all your USB audio gear with your iPhone, your iPad or your Mac/PC.

Hi. I have three of these. Two 7 port and one 4 port.
They work perfectly. I purchased them from Amazon in the UK . They are known as Atolla here in the UK.

Awesome! Ha...when I sang for the NZ Opera we had an Australian conductor who scathingly said “ the lights are on but there’s nobody home” referring to our inability to act and portray characters while singing 😁

Thanks a bunch, Pete, I've made numerous recordings via GarageBand because of YOU,
(And I just today, 3/4/21, picked up one of these Tendraks upon your recommendation, so I can record vocals and acoustic guitar into my ipad Air )
Thanks so much, I will recommend my other musical peers to check you out and "sub" !!
You're very generous with your knowledge, and you're talented bloke to match!
~ Cheers

Nice one Pete, you sound like mad craic! Is it possible to also power the iPad off the usb hub while interfaces etc are connected?

Lovely those blue led lights on the hub! Great review btw. And I assume it’s $20 AUS? Maybe I will buy one of these to check it out for myself, Pete. And for I forget, I will send you an email within the next couple hours. Greetings, Emiel.

Hey Pete !. How is it going ?. Thank you so much for everything you have contributed to this channel. I got a question for you.
I recently bought the usb microphone Samson C01U Pro, (it hasn’t arrived yet) for working on my iPad. And I’m also looking for a usb hub to connect not only the mic but a mouse, keyboard and a usb flash drive. My question is: do I need specifically a powered usb hub ? Or with a normal usb hub it will be ok ?. Thank you so much !

Great content! I was wondering if this hub simultaneously charges the iPad as well. If not do you know of any usb hubs that do? Sometimes with longer recording sessions it would be nice to have the iPad powered as well so it wont power off halfway through. Thanks.

Hi Pete, I am taking huge advantage of your videos to get my gear up and running.
A question: what is the reason leading you to plug your ipad to the front USB socket instead to one of the 4 top ones? I realize that it works ony that way and not otherwise (using it with my Android Smartpone and m_audio Air 192-4). Thanks again!

Hey Pete, thanks for all your videos, very clear and fun. Went to link for this tandem thingy, Amazon Au and it’s 75 bucks! Yikes, I guess the under $20 was US? Anything cheaper and reliable I can use? Cheers.
