Love your in depth thorough reviews on multimeter. Thanks....

According to the Amprobe web page both the 140 and 160 share same accuracy across the board. They differ in temp and pc connections.

Brymen is able to make custom versions for you so it probably is the origin. they make green versions for a german company.

I prefer the Amprobe AM-160A. Do a search for " Multimeter review / buyers guide / comparison: Brymen TBM867 vs Fluke 87-V"
Cheers,
Martin.

I was only saying that model is out there for that price as I bought it over the $400 Fluke 88 5

I know this is an old review but you're comparing the wrong models. The extech mm560a and bryman bm857a are the Amprobe AM-140A. No wonder you think they cost so much less! You needed to compare the Amprobe am-160a to the extech mm570a and the Bryman bm859a if you want identical meters.

very nice resolution, shame about the poor calibration at 5V.
I don't quite understand why you don't run several meters in parallel when doing the voltage testing. you instantly get a census among relevant meters.
In general I'd recommend you make your reviews far more relativistic. a good decision is always a comparison of available options.

For the record, the alternative brand model equivalents mentioned to in this review are a bit off.

The AM-160-A is basically equivalent (in electrical specs) to the following meters
- Brymen 859 (OEM reference)
- Extech MM570A
It's little brother, the Amprobe AM-140-A (without temp and with lower accuracy) is equivalent to the following:
- Brymen 857 (OEM reference)
- Extech MM560A

Also for the record, I'm not sure where the reviewer got his 129 UKPound price for the Extech MM560A but
at the very same site TODAY (tester.co.uk), the Extech MM560A is 167UKP (excl.vat)
and the actual equivalent (Extech MM570A) is 225UKP (excl. VAT)
I doubt that either of these meters was ever 129UKP, and certainly NOT for the actual equivalent (MM570A)

I would like your opinion. Compared to the Brymen TBM 867 / BM 869 millimeters, which is a would you want on your tool box or bench, the Amprobe AM-160a OR the Brymen TBM 867 as the spec are almost alike?

I was not happy to see the error in voltage reading at 5 volts DC !

Look forward to part 2, and I may be mistaken, BUT I don’t you have done a full review on the Brymen TBM 867.

I dont know if thse revieuws are still ok we live in 2015, maybe you should make a new video about new multimeters. Thanks for reading.

Amprobe AM 270 with .08% accuracy and temp measurement for $85 on Amazon.

Extech may beat it on price, but it seems to me there are many question marks emerging over the quality of Extech.

So basically, even the $200 - $300 Digital Multimeters are not perfect, and have flaws. That's what I've learned from this. For $300, if i'm outputting 5.0000 volts, I expect my $300 Multimeter to show me, I'm outputting 5.0000 volts. I could buy a small laptop for $300. The technology in a $300 laptop outweighs a digital multimeter with a single LCD display.

Como puedo conseguir el respectivo manual en español de esté multimetro?
Agradeceré si alguien me puede traducir al español dicho manual.

5:45 The leads i got with the Brymen, looks like the leads you are showing, but they are not that flexible. I did the same like you did like on 6:06 and mine cracked, or how you say it in english. Maybe i send you the leads to cut them in pieces, i don't like them. Looks very cheap.

Are you sure that Byman is actually a manufactuerer. When I see their 90s style site I get the impression they are a retailer.
