Trading in several old bodies, 1dx mark ii, gh5, and a 6d mark ii. Is this worth picking up as a secondary camera or even a replacement for my Sony a7iii? The GH5 is my favorite camera of all time, but the crop factor and low light made vlogging a challenge.

New Sub! Great video and review. I was considering the S1 over the S5 just because of the micro hdmi and lower resolution viewfinder and lcd. I have a G9 at the moment and want to stay with Pany if possible. Blessings

Though I can't say I've worked with every LOG profile out there, or even the higher level Canon Log profiles, I can say that of the ones I've worked with, VLOG is by far the flattest I have seen. If you were to pair it with the Leeming LUT package, it grades so nicely!

What’s lens/ses do you use for content creation? Trying to figure out whether to use the 20-60 or 24-105.

Do you see any noticeable difference in sharpness between your S1 and S5? I have an S5 and my buddy has an S1. With the same prime lens and same aperture, the S1 is noticeably sharper. I am wondering if I have a faulty unit, or if there is some subtle difference between the sensors.

Hello from France! A Camera full frame witch make a beautiful 4K dci 4.2.2 10 at 24, and 4.2.0 in 4K uhd at 60 p for les than 2 Ok not great af but, not overheat and it s more than half Sony a7s3 If you want more you dont need Sony as.. or canon R5, but « real » cinéma caméra.

The S1 is much better with a full HDMI, internal 5.9k, bigger LCD and a higher resolution viewfinder.
