At least the Rabbi had the honesty to admit he hasn't got any evidence. Most other apologists will claim that they do then cite every manner of thing they believe, none of it actually evidence.

We really need to be thankful for the skeptics who debate apologists... For a very long time after I became an atheist, I had no way of properly articulating WHY an apologist is talking nonsense.

Apologists ARE LITERALLY TRAINED to be as convincing as possible by constantly raping logic (philosophy/metaphysics) to mean what they want it to mean...and once you understand all of that, you'll realise that they are still just talking nonsense, but with the help of guys like Sam Harris, it's easier to expose these nonsensical arguments for what they really are.

My main gripe is that they take this baseless faith and judge others for not sharing in their faith, and also use that faith as an excuse to justify heinous actions. If you believe god is real, do so, preach it if you want… but do not presume to look down on me or think of me as less than you because I’m not willing to forgo reason to pretend I have some higher purpose in life.

A metaphysical claim by definition implies that it is beyond the realm of the natural world. If that is so, we have no way of knowing if the claim is true or not. It is unfalsifiable

The question as to whether or not something exists in our reality is always a scientific question. If a thing exists in our reality there will be physical consequences to its existence, and therefore scientific evidence available to prove it. You can't produce any evidence for God because God doesn't exist in our reality. Now you may say God exists outside of our space-time outside of our reality, to which I would respond what is the difference between a thing not existing at all and a thing not existing in our reality, as far as we are concerned?
