It's a typical false dilemma fallacy that assumes that the Lord Yeshua is either 'independent' or 'dependent' on GOD the Father.
Such a fallacy, limits and leaves you with only two options, A or B, when in fact neither options are considered to be limitations of Christ!
The only two options it gives are:
1.If he's independent
Then there are two gods.
And
2. If he's dependent, then he's not god.
Completely ignoring the fact that the Lord Yeshua is not independent (John 10:30) nor is he currently dependent to GOD the father, since the father judges no one but depends on his word our Lord Yeshua for judgment, whom he calls and is also GOD:

John 5:22.
For the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son.

And as we all know, only GOD can judge (James 4:12)
That is why the first person of Trinity, the Father, calls the son 'GOD', because he is GOD:

Hebrews 1:8-9
But to the Son He says: 'Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore GOD, Your GOD, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.'

And it has been that way since the beginning, as it's also hinted in the old Testament.
