Adult Braces at 36 Years Old

Adult braces, I've been putting them off for almost two decades and today I'm finally doing it. After multiple consultations, I decided on an orthodontist that came highly referred by multiple friends.

Outside of being a referral, he offered ceramic braces, that have a lower profile than other clear braces I've seen. And I'm sold on the concept of smile art, which has the teeth follow your lip lines for perfect exposure.

It’s never too late for self improvement. I’ve always wanted braces but couldn’t afford to. I’ve always been told I have strong white teeth but I just need them straighten. I’m finally able to afford to and I’m in the process of getting braces at almost 40!

I got braces when I was 31 and had them for a couple years. Best decisions ever. Also...I highly recommend getting the brace floss pickers and brace wax will also be your friend as the inside of your mouth builds calluses!

Starting mine at age 26! I told myself I was waiting for “the right time” but with being an adult with responsibilities and life in general it will never be the right time! Time to bite the bullet and get it done

Hey man, I am 25 and had similar reasons to consider getting braces but have always been hesitant due to social pressure. After watching this video and seeing the journey, I am going to pull the trigger and get it done! I appreciate it!

I was 15, railroad tracks braces. Two and half years, I was glad it was done! It was due to crowding, both rows!

Closing the gaps between my teeth has been on my bucket list for decades too. I'm also an actor. I've avoided auditions for "character is friendly neighbor with big bright smile" description. And I've never booked a job where the requirement was both profiles with "big smiles" due to my 4 large spaces, mostly upper teeth. A guy my age- late 50's to 60'ish, and trying to speak (act/audition) with braces? I don't know.

I eat everything and drink everything except popcorn and chewing gum. You just gotta chop stuff up like apple, carrots hard things into sticks. I eat lollies every week and junk food every week. The no eating sugary stuff are mainly for kids because they dont brush their teeth often or properly.

I work in Sales and I have to make lots of cold visits.I feel shy of getting my braces.

I am 42 about to be 43. I just got mine 2.5 weeks ago. They bug me a lot. But I keep reminding myself the end result will be worth all this. My mouth keeps getting cut up. Food always gets stuck and I have to swipe my finger all around to bring my food up so I can swallow what I just chewed. Otherwise the food just hangs out at my gums and braces. Make friends with the wax. And always put on chapstick. Flossing is so hard not. My teeth are constantly sensitive to cold food and drinks.
