K24 Swapped GE Fit Road Tested
By Brian Gillespie and Aaron Gaghagen

OK, last time we got our K24 Fit running, but it wasn't quite ready for the streets. But now it is. We built the rest of the exhaust with a build-it-yourself kit finished off with a KTuned muffler that sounds great. So how much better is it to drive now with a TSX K24 power plant? Brian takes it for a rip and tests the acceleration with our AIM Solo to compare it with our other project cars such as the K24 swapped 8th gen Civic and Project Dadmobile.

A K24 swapped Honda Fit!? Hahahahaha wow, now that's a sleeper, that is awesome!!! If I were to meet that car on the road, I wouldn't even be able to tell that it's been swapped. You guys always do some new and interesting things with HONDAS!!!!

Honda did miss the mark on this car. They should have made an Si with the base RSX K20 that made 160hp like they did with the mid 2000's Civic hatch. That thing would have sold well!

Hey Brian! I know I've been a pain in the ass before about getting the L15B7 swaps for the GD buttoned up, but I'm stoked that you are giving the love to the Fits. Some of us are predicting their future popularity and it's really promising.

Having owned a b22 1992 hatchback, with type R drive train. I was always somewhat impressed with what my older relatives fits could do. This build is sure to be a sleeper of sleeper type builds.

Great vid and series! Love the passion for the mighty Fit! At 17:05 you said you'd put a list of parts in the description but that list is nowhere to be found.

It's so excellent that it's running like an unmodified car and not too violent and it's so smoooth too. This is a really good build so far.

Up here in the PNW, I worked with a very smart man at the Honda dealer. He was one of the first and only to have a full Can-Bus K24 swapped Honda Insight. He built it about 10 years ago now, likely still has it.

Are there any major differences between doing the swap in a GD fit vs a GE?

Man, my hand hurt watching you shift gears without a shift knob. I love white shift knobs, too. I had a white Sickspeed Cue Ball shift knob in my old 2007 Ford Fusion. I never thought about the black ones heating up in the sun but it makes sense. One time, I had a polished aluminum one on my Fusion and that thing would definitely cook your hand in summer.

I love your Fit. I have a friend who has one from the last year that they sold them in the US and he absolutely loves it. It really is a shame that Honda stopped selling them here, it's amazing how much room that little car has on the inside and it was really nice and affordable, too. I guess at least the rest of the world can still enjoy them.

Very nice project. I wonder if the reason for the heat soak is because of where your intake tube is running to, it seems like it'd be getting a lot of hot air from there.

Keep up the great work, that is a very nice swap.
