The FRN handles are perfectly good. Like I hears another YouTuber say “super good enough.” And I am a hard use knife owner. I really do old fashioned things with my knives. Things most people no longer do. I own a ranch. But I make my living as an Attorney. There are tons of things to do on a ranch. But it’s more of a secondary life to me.

I do protect the tips of my Spyderco knives. I have other knives, if I need a reinforced tip, or a chopper.

But my main EDC is a Purple Spyderco Endura 4. I have several other Spyderco knives. They are my favorite.

My EDC reinforced tip knife is a Cold Steel, tanto, 4” Voyager.

My “church” knife is another purple Spyderco, a Delica and sometimes a Benchmade 940-1.

But don’t worry about a Spyderco lock back, or the FRN handles. I’ve never had a problem. And I likely use my knives 25, or thereabouts every day. And usually it isn’t anything like box cutting. It’s usually repairing, or making something.
I like the VG 10, okay. It just needs stropped, a light touch with a find ceramic stone at the end of the day. But I’ve found I like the SV 90 on my 940-1 better. I have some K390 too. It’s really good so far.

I love pulling out my Endura 4 and watching all the kids and parents gasp. My 10 year old daughter will invariably respond, "Geez, it's just a knife." ;)

I sure wish the pocket clip had a “deeper-carry” depth, because the Endura 4 is SUCH a fantastic knife. I’ve lost at least 3 Enduras over the years when I was EDC’ing it, and always wondered if that had something to do with it. I just pulled the trigger on another, but this time I went with Grey scales, and NO 50/50 blade. Those serrations are a beeyotch to keep sharp.

The Spyderco depends on the job. As Police, I needed a quick cut so I picked an Endura with serrated blade. For the forests, a plain blade version and for basic utility, it’s the Delica, blade shape is your call.

I have an older Endura with the half serrated blade in ATS-55. It is an excellent knife although I have more and more wanted a simple edge, not a serrated or half serrated one. For that reason I know my wife has gotten me an Endura in K390 with the flat grind for the coming Christmas. I just need to be patient...

No spring is touching the blade. The spring is almost all the way to the rear. The spring is resting on the locking mechanism that is touching the blade

I still haven’t picked one of these up yet....reason being I bought a k390 endela when they came out and the thing is so spot on for me size-wise. Here and there I’ll come reaalllyyyy close to pulling the trigger on a k390 endura. One of these days....

Iv owned 4 or 5 of these and its my all time fav knife :) my first spyderco was a delica 2nd gen i think i found in the sand on a beach whe i was 12 in the 90s :) my dad took it on me :/ but it was a cool knife and spyderco will always be my fav brand :)

Why is the blade uneven. The blade should be flat like a razor
