2006 ScionXb, almost 90, 000 miles. Never been in the shop for anything more than brakes. My owners manual says let it warm up, and I've never had an issue.
Love the channel. Very informative. Thank you.

Hot or cold day, I let my 26 year old car warm up until the RPM calms it's 💩 down.

Even if its new, I believe you still need to warm it up. Oil needs to circulate.

Just because you don't "need" to warm up your engine doesn't mean you shouldn't

2003 Honda Accord LX.
I always warm it up.

After about 3-5 minutes. It feels like a race car.

Engines will last alot longer if you warm it up before putting a load on it.

You don't goose anything that hasn't been running at least 10-15 minutes, You wait until everything warms and expands to operating temperatures. You can slowly putts away but when you get to the corner don't put it to the floor so you can cut somebody off with cold oil running thru its veins ... Cold oil resists coating the metal parts. When it warms up then and only then does it bond and adhere and protect the parts. 99% of engine wear occurs at cold start. Always has Always will.

I actually have to warm it up a little on my Nissan Sentra 2015. It's because when I just started up and go the rpm would be way too high when I go slow in my neighborhood unless that's normal and ok? Maybe because it's running rich from the startup idk. I like to warm it up for 3 minutes as t least for my car to run smoothly.

I don’t need to warm up my car anymore.

I just keep it on 24/7

Anyone else think watching Scotty videos each day is mandatory? I wish I knew half of what he's forgotten.

I never drive off right away because If I do when my car is still idling high it makes a bad sound. So I wait until the idle settles down to normal (like 20 seconds) and then I'll drive off. But I always warm my car up for like 15 minutes in winter.

My car is pretty modern (2013)

I was taught, since the 60s when I started driving, that you let a vehicle 'warm up' to make sure that the oil was being pumped to the upper engine from the oil pan. And yes we needed to warm it up until the rpms came down.. but that was a carb/respiration issue.

I've got 120k on my 2013 Mustang GT and have only had to replace the rear brakes (at 115K). No clutch issues (or replacement... I'm 53...) and front brakes still have 30%. Just routine maintenance and it still runs (and screams) like a dream. The Coyote engine is outstanding in power, driveability and reliability.
