Can card stock paper be used? I bought cartridges from the past machines I've owned I used them much easier bit wow I'm lost

I’ve owned a few Cricut machines for years. When was the last time I used one? Years ago. This is a great video for reminding of the basics, but I’d love to see the next video be about what’s NEXT in designing a project. Obviously years ago, the way to get images was through cartridges, but in order to get up to date with the way Cricut operates now, a what’s next video would help tremendously. I never fully got the concept of design space. Is that even a thing still? Does it cost money to use? It would be so helpful to have a video where you go through past machines BRIEFLY to touch on how to use them today. I have the personal, the expression II, the imagine and now the maker. And a ton of cartridges. I think the maker doesn’t use cartridges so, I’d need to know how to get images to use that machine. Thank you!
