I’m loving the sirui anamorphic lenses. I never thought anamorphic lenses would ever be this cheap. Now I just need to learn how to shoot 😂

I really like the library and night shots, thanks for sharing this with us!
Also, that marimba guy at the end rocks!

I was actually interested in Sirui Anamorphic lenses for a while, so great timing Mark! great video too, and results from this lens are CRAZY good considering the price.

This reminds me of the cool stuff Sandmarc is doing with aftermarket lenses for phones. Not that I’m on a phone any more, thankfully 😂❤

I grabbed the 50mm version of this for my Fuji X mount camera. Paired with the X-H2 or X-T4 this is a powerhouse setup. The blue flairs are not bad at all compared to others I have seen. I got it for the 1.33x as I'm not a huge fan of the flares but like I said this one isn't too bad. Thanks for the video! Cheers.

Eu folosesc obiectivul Sirui 24mm anamorphic cu Fuji xt3... super!

Thank you for the thoughtful review Mark. Not only is the content useful, but your production value is superior to so many other "filmmakers" on YT. Subtle hairlight for separation, perfect crisp/soft key. So many think they have to use a distracting background light shining at camera, AND a Cinebloom filter. Makes. Me. Crazy. :-)

Great find Mark. This would be so fun to shoot with. Maybe when I upgrade to a R8.

Stokked you get to play with this lens!! I normally dont buy lenses like this because the price is too good to be true... that being said I bought the RF and the E mount version of the 35 just because of how much i liked it!!! I did try to see if they would send me the 75mm out for use on my Star Trek fan gig.. but they didn't respond hahah So i ended up buying the 75 just for RF (had the komodo at the time)

I suspect if you used a cheap wide-angle prime lens, which tends to have optical imperfections like cayseye bokeh around the edge of the frame, then crop the top and bottom and scale the image a couple percent to compensate, side-by-side it would be very difficult to tell the difference in most lighting conditions.

what about just using a wider angle lense so there is enough room to chop off the top and bottom and use post process for the lense flare?

Mark, I'm a little curious why it's less expensive with the RF mount as opposed to the ef-m?

why not shoot 6k or 8k and crop the top and bottom, you will still get better than 4k

While this sounds like a really cool lens and they have an M mount but based on your last statement regarding the type of videos I don’t think it’s the right lens for the videos I shoot. I say this because I already have the Sigma 18-35mm lens and use it with an adapter on my M6. For videos I shoot automotive instructional, home movies and my sons soccer games. The Sigma 18-35 has done great for these. What’s intriguing is the price point and M mount. But for me I’d rather have the Sigma 24-70mm and either the 60-600 or 150-600 lenses

Hello. Not much to do with this video but I need something answered and I'm having trouble finding it. Is a lens made for apsc such as the efm 22mm for example. Is that lens actually 22mm or is that also something you would use crop factor for. Like is the efm 22 mm actually a 35 or since it's made for the efm Mount is it actually a 22mm.
