That was the most thorough Hitchcock documentary I’ve seen. Well done

Hitchcock was one of those directors most of whose films can be watched over and over, showing he developed a complete understanding of how to generate and satisfy the viewer's needs and pleasures in watching a suspenseful film.

Dial 'M' For Murder is my favorite Hitch film.

His wife was a driving force for many many successful filming and editing techniques . She should have been given much more credit than she received..

He made some of the best movies of all time. His movies had it all suspense, great stories and glamorous leading actors. It’s hard to pick my favourite movie so many to choose from.

Rope, shot in one long scene in one room, was astonishing.

As a life long "Hitchcockian", this was one of the best I have seen done on the Master of Suspense. Amazing!

I loved The Trouble with Harry. It was really good. A lot of humour. Also, The Birds, Rear Window and Rope were other favourites.

The flashback in Stage Fright being a “lie” was fantastic.

I grew up watching the Hitchcock TV show in syndication and became of fan at an early age. Alfred Hitchcock mystery books were extremely popular in my school and public libraries which began my great love of mystery novels. In college I ran the Film Society (to showcase great films from the 30’s to the early 70’s) on campus for 1 1/2 years. My committee and I knew that if we showed a Hitchcock film as the first film on a double bill we’d have huge crowds and would have to plan for extra screenings. Even most of Hitch’s “flops” are now considered to be classics. His films were just ahead of their time. I had no idea that “Psycho” was initially considered to be a flop. That just boggles my mind!!! Thank you for the most comprehensive overview of this cinematic genius’ films and career that I’ve ever seen.

This was really a great beginning to end review of Alfred Hitchcock's career. Thanks for your work in sharing it. He was both a curiosity and an entertainment genius, leaving behind more personal questions than answers. At least by knowing more about his career history, we can satisfy one of our thirsts.

LOVE seeing the Trailers I've never seen before - ROPE with Jimmy Stewart commentating. Fantastic!
Also appreciated hearing of his "lesser Films", some I've not heard of. Would like to go find those now & watch. I'm often not in synch with popular opinion nor am I swayed by it.

I believe Hitchcock is unique because he placed his new found ideas on top of the of silent filming style instead of abandoning them. He mastered the cutting and montage style
