How Alfred Hitchcock Created Suspense

Alfred Hitchcock was known in the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's as the master of suspense. Some of his most iconic films were North By Northwest, Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds and Rear Window. A rare few directors have been known as a master over an entire genre. Let's take a look at one of his techniques he often used to create a suspenseful scene.
