Don't be surprised if we don't see consumer 7nm AMD Ryzen 3000 CPU's and X570 motherboards until Q3 2019. AMD has already made it clear that the first 7nm batch is not for consumers. CES 2019 would be too soon for such a release. Computex in June 2019 at the earliest.

AMD has been quite vague about a specific release date for consumer release, and based on AMD's release history I'm remembering the Vega GPU that was announced at CES 2017 but didn't get released until Q3 2017 - like 9 months late.

AMD has been clear that the first round of 7nm AMD CPU's will *NOT* be for consumers. CES seems to early for such a release - I hope I'm wrong but again, based on AMD's release history it could be announced at CES but still not be released for 9 months.

And we won't see PCIe 4.0 on consumer boards until 2020. Btw, PCIe 4.0 will be for consumers while PCIe 5.0 will not be for consumers. PCIe 5.0 will only be for AI and science, medical research etc.

I wait to see the pricing on the RTX Titan, but if it is, as I expect, minimum of US$2000 than, it is as I have said all along, the RTX 2080ti was targeted towards gamers that were previously buying the Titan class of Nvidia cards, and not for gamers buying geforce-ti cards. Jensen had said much earlier that Titan was not for gamers, Nvidia even went as far as removing the geforce branding from Titan cards under pascal.
With Turing, Nvidia have moved to where AMD are by producing cards capable of asynch compute. This is the future given low level API and they are most likely re-affirming their branding/product differentiation in the process.
People complaining about the pricing of the geforce RTX cards missed the point of what I suspect Nvidia are doing. Jayztwocents was correct in his initial belief that RTX 2080ti was to replace the Titan, he just didn't have the right basis for that statement. i.e. Titan is no longer to be made accessible or viable to the 0.1% of gamers that were buying them before.

So... I was right then. The pricing of the rtx 2080 ti was not because it replaced the titan, but it was just because they knew they could charge that much.... Damn.

Great marketing Nvidia but these reviewers and tech channels now lack
credibility and integrity in my eyes (was it early access or 20 pieces
of silver) ;-(

I got the same dilemma, I want the 2700X for my Media studio PC, I have two X370 builds and money is tight. I also need a 10-12TB HD as my NAS is getting full. But the new features of the X470 Crosshair VII, 2 M.2 drives vs. 1 of the Crosshair VI is tempting. But, if X570 is coming out early next year, I may justify waiting on the MB and just get the cpu and hd. That way when Zen 2 comes out next year I can upgrade my cpu again and be on the current chipset. Do you think the rumor is true?

Titan RTX and AMD X570. For when you need to literally render real life

X570 leaks? Well that was certainly quick. No indication AMD was going to talk about that one anytime soon. If you have industry insiders and contact, I implore that you write them handwritten thank you notes for their work.
